[2023, 2024, 2025] En Tejiendo la calle convertimos lona PVC de anuncios de publicidad en grandes patchworks o collages, dando otras vidas a un material de deshecho. Una retacería de siluetas de flores de plantas protegidas toman presencia en el pueblo. La hoja del Arce de Montpellier, la flor de la Asperilla, el precioso Clavelino, la flor de la Vitaliana Primuliflora. Especies fundamentales para la biodiversidad y el equilibrio de los ecosistemas, incluidas en el “Catálogo Regional de Especies Vegetales Amenazadas de Extremadura, actualizado con la Lista Roja de la flora vascular española 2008″. En 2024 realizamos bandadas de vencejos, ave del año 2021 por Seo BirdLife, una especie que antiguamente cohabitaba en los pueblos y que hoy está desapareciendo. En 2025 hacemos truchas, hace años se veían en las gargantas de la zona y hoy ya no son tan habituales.

Para su realización reutilizamos la lona plástica publicitaria de PVC, cedida por Movistar + gracias a Jorge León, responsable de escenografía.

Patching Up the Landscape

[2023, 2024, 2025] At Tejiendo la calle, we transform PVC banners from advertisements into large patchworks, giving new life to a discarded material. A collages of silhouettes of flowers from protected plants takes center stage in the village. The leaf of the Montpellier maple, the flower of the woodruff, the beautiful carnation, and the flower of the primrose. These species are essential for biodiversity and ecosystem balance, included in the «Regional Catalog of Endangered Plant Species of Extremadura, updated with the 2008 Red List of Spanish Vascular Flora.»

In 2024, we host flocks of swifts, named Bird of the Year 2021 by SEO BirdLife, a specie that once coexisted in the villages and is now disappearing.

In 2025, we host trout gatherings; years ago, they were seen in the area’s gorges, but today they are no longer so common. For its creation, we reused the PVC advertising canvas provided by Movistar+ thanks to Jorge León, head of set design.
